Promoted Initiatives

Promoted Initiative #1: Lowering the threshold TSH value at which the standard of care is to order further thyroid testing - i.e. a value well below 3.0.

Promoted Initiative #2: Require pharmaceutical companies which manufacture thyroid medicines to publish their degradation studies and thereby advise patients and practitioners what they should expect in the way for downgraded performance over time.

Promoted Initiative #3: Require pharmaceutical companies which manufacture thyroid medicines to publish their actual values of active ingredients and thereby advise patients and practitioners what they should expect in the way of drug performance as compared to the standard.

Promoted Initiative #4: Promotion of a single standard value for TSH at which is the standard threshold which, absent any other factors, suggests normal thyroid function and above which suggests the need for further thyroid testing.
